一、Warm-up
(1) Ss. sing “What do you want to do?”
(2) Game: Sorting words
活跃课堂气氛。把单词归类,为下面环节做准备。
二、Presentation
(1) Guessing game
T: He likes helping people. He often helps the people to find their way. He works in the police office or in the street.
What does he do?
Ss: He’s a police officer.
通过描述职业让学生猜,并引出本节课的重点句型。
T: If you like helping people, you can be a police officer.
T shows more, such as: scientist, coach, singer…
让学生边猜边操练新句型:If you like …, you can be a ….
(2).Teach “sports reporter”
T shows a picture of a reporter.
T: What does she do?
Ss: 记者.
T: She’s a reporter.
T teaches “reporter”.
T shows a picture of a sports reporter.
T: She is a reporter, too. What is she reporting?
Ss: Football match./Sports.
T: Yes. She’s a sports reporter.
T teaches “sports reporter”.
(3) Teach “secretary”
T shows a picture of a secretary. .
T: Is she a sports reporter?
Ss: No.
T: She’s a secretary. She can help businessmen and scientists.
T teaches “secretary”.
T: do you want to be a secretary.
Ss: Yes.
T: Can you use computers? If you can type quickly, you can be a secretary. Quickly means fast.
T teaches “type” and “quickly”.

(4) Read and write
a. Ss list five jobs.
b. Ss read the first two paragraphs, and answer three questions: What does he like? Where is he going to work? What does he want to be?
